For local service companies, having a listing on Google is very important. You want to have a verified listing complete with a heavy-hitting description of your services. Photos of your work. And promotional offers.

Advanced steps to get GBP verification
The first way to get easier GBP verification is to already have a professional business website that has the following items on the site:
- NAP (Name, Address, Phone) on the footer and contact page.
- Use Schema markup to structure business details.
Then, add your site to Google Search Console (formerly Google Webmaster tools). To accomplish this, you will need to insert some code into your websites structure. Google Search Console has instructions on where the code snippet has to go, but if you hired someone else to create your website, ask them to help you get this done.

If you want to skip these two steps for now, that’s okay. Getting back to the GMP setup.

What to do if it is rejected
Click the Contact Support option before closing the app
Gather the evidence like business license, utility bill showing business name and address, and the business license. Photos of your business signage, work vehicles, tools, etc. And because your are a home based business, you will be submitting the GBP form as a Service Area Business. Make sure that is correct.
